Project Overview
Subbie was designed as a human-centered coordination platform for construction teams working in fast-moving, on-site environments. The goal was to bring clarity, accountability, and continuity to daily site operations without disrupting how teams actually work.
The project focused on designing a system that supports real-time decisions, shared understanding, and follow-through across roles, locations, and timelines, while remaining simple to use under pressure.
Objectives
Improve on-site coordination and communication
Create clear ownership and accountability for tasks and actions
Reduce missed follow-ups and informal decision loss
Design workflows that fit naturally into site operations
Build a scalable foundation for future intelligence and automation
Scope of Work
The scope focused on product and systems design, including:
Product & Systems Design: Structuring workflows around tasks, actions, and responsibilities
Experience Strategy: Aligning the product with real on-site behaviors and constraints
Interaction Design: Designing low-effort, context-aware interactions for the field
System Architecture Thinking: Preparing structured data flows for future AI support
Usability & Accessibility: Ensuring clarity, readability, and ease of use in real-world conditions
